Recommended Platform Bike Rack to Carry on a Front Mount Hitch of a 2017 Ram 3500

Question:

I have a 2017 Ram 3500 and pull a 5th wheel. We need a solution for a bike rack and our trailer does not have a receiver hitch. Could the Swagman XC 2-Bike Rack - Item # S64650 be used with Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver - Item # 65063 without impeding driver vision?

I can't say for sure since we've never physically installed them together but I imagine the rack or bikes will block some of the driver's view of the road but not a lot. The Draw-Tite front mount receiver, part # 65063, installs pretty high on your 2017 Ram 3500, about level with the tow hooks. Then the Swagman XC, part # S64650, has a 4 inch rise in the shank plus the center mast is about 29 inches tall in itself. I'd estimate the center mast is a total of about 35 inches up from the top of the hitch's receiver tube opening.

You can measure up from your tow hooks about 35 inches and see how much of the center mast you can see from the driver's seat. A bike's seat and handlebars will be several inches above that is well.
