Recommended Trailer Suspension for Tandem Axle Trailer Used Daily
Question:
Torsion or spring axles Which would be better for tire wear and longevity. The trailer will be towed 350 of 365 days a year. I just want to try to keep cost down where I can. Thank you for your advice.

For cost to stay down, I recommend the Axle-Less Suspension kit like # A35RS545E for a tandem axle application. These come in various weight capacities and use Aeon Rubber springs for suspension instead of the leaf springs or rubber cords in a torsion system. These come with EZ-Lube Spindles for easy maintenance, but other than the bearing maintenance and brake maintenance, the system is maintenance free. You won't need to worry about the suspension and it will ride much quieter.
If you prefer through axles, then you can use the Timbren Silent Ride Suspension for Tandem Axle Trailers w/ 3" Round Axles - 7,000 lbs # TSR7000T05. I've linked your options for these systems as well.
If you give me your trailer capacity, I may be able to help with more specific part recommendations.
If you don't want the Rubber Suspension, then I recommend the torsion axles for less moving parts but the initial cost will be higher.
