How to Determine How Well Bike Rack Bunk # CC-275 Would Fit Air Stream Trailer

Question:

Reading many reviews, sounds like the bike bunk will work with our 1972 Argosy Airstream. Concerned about he height and the ability to open the front window when installed. Also a recommendation on the best bike rack to add for two adult bikes without cross tubes. Thanks guys

I attached a picture that shows the frame dimensions that the Bike Bunk part # CC-275 is designed to fit for you to check out and compare to your 1972 Argosy Airstream. As far as overall height goes this will add 33-1/2 inches direcly above the top of your frame rails on your trailer. So basically, you'd need to find the spot on your trailer frame that fits the range you want to use in the attached picture and measure 33-1/2 inches above that to determine if the window of your trailer would have any interference.

Since you have bikes with step through frames the easiest bike rack for you to use would be a platform rack that uses wheel mounts to secure the bikes. For that the Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount # KU84FR would be a great option as that's the style of bike rack it is. Plus, it's reinforced for rougher ride qualities like when mounted to a trailer so it would work very well for you.

I attached review videos for both products mentioned below as well.
