Recommend Hitch Extender for 2017 Ram 2500 and 2006 Pioneer Trailer with 6400 lb GVWR

I want to extend my hitch so I can run with my tailgate down and haul my UTV. Will part part # C45048 with weight distribution do the job for me. 2006 Pioneer trailer 6400 gvw / 2017 Ram 2500

The Curt Hitch Extension and Reducer for 2-1/2" Trailer Hitches - 24" to 34" Long # C45048 will allow you to leave your tailgate down and still tow a trailer. It is rated for different capacities based on the length used, so you will need to make sure your trailer and weight distribution system work within its rated capacities. You will also want the Curt Universal 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 7-Way Extension - 7' Long # C56080 which can be trimmed to length if desired.
