Will Curt Front Trailer Hitch Receiver # C31068 Fit a 2009 Ford F-150 With Smittybilt Bull Bar

Question:

I have a smitybuilt bull bar installed where the tow hooks were ,can I install this hitch and keep the bull-bar. I realize I have to remove the bull-bar to install the hitch.

On the 2009 Ford F-150 4WD, the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # C31068, will install between the tow hooks and the frame, using the existing M10 bolts that came on the truck. I spoke with my contact at Curt and he could not say that it would fit with the Smittybilt Bull Bar. He did not think that it would work with the Bull Bar.

I am including a link to the installation instructions on the Curt hitch. These instructions will show you where the Curt hitch will attach to the vehicle. It might help you decide if it will work in conjunction with the Bull Bar.
