If you do not have the manual, you can also check with a local Toyota dealer and they should be able to verify its capabilities and go over any procedures that need to be followed.

We do not have any custom-fit base plates available for the FJ40, but you can use a universal set like the Blue Ox # BX88230 to provide an attachment point for a tow bar. From there, the Blue Ox Alpha Tow Bar # BX7380 is a great option that includes the required safety cables and a self-aligning design to ease hookup.
