The Thule Passage 2 Bike Carrier # TH910XT referenced in your question, which is confirmed to fit your 2011 Hyundai Tucson, features a weight capacity of 35 pounds per bike. If your beach cruiser is less than 35 pounds, this carrier will work well. You will likely need to add an adapter bar like the Kuat # UB01 because of its alternative frame to secure it to the rack. I have attached a short video demonstration on this product so you can see exactly how it works and why it might be needed.
With that being said, based on my research, it's very possible that your beach cruiser weighs more than 35 pounds. If this is the case, your best option will be to go with a hitch-mounted rack instead. The highest weight capacity for a trunk-mounted bike rack is the 35 pounds that the above Thule carrier provides.
If you do not yet have a trailer hitch installed on your Hyundai Tucson, I recommend the Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Receiver Hitch # 75717. This custom-fit hitch will use existing holes in your Tucson's frame to allow for a no-drill installation. The 2 inch receiver opening it provides will be perfect for a bike rack or any other hitch-mounted accessory.
I highly recommend looking at the Swagman Chinook 2 Bike Platform Rack # S64683. This platform-style carrier features adjustable, padded hooks that will hold the bikes by their top tubes and sliding wheel cradles that can accommodate most bike lengths. It can hold up to 2 bikes at 45 pounds each and the spring-loaded levers let you tilt the rack down for easy rear cargo access on your vehicle.
I have attached a short video demonstration on this product that you can also check out.
