Will a Thule Adventurer Cargo Box Fit on Rhino Rack SXBS Sportz Style Crossbars
Question:
I currently own a Thule Adventurer cargo box and was considering getting the replacement mounting kit, however do those kits work with the new airfoil-type mounting rails?? I just bought the Rhino Sportz Rail Mount Roof Rack SXB. Thanks.

The hardware for the Thule Adventurer cargo box, # TH04997, will fit on crossbars no wider than 3-5/8 inches as that is the distance between the inside edges of the bolt holes on the hardware.
According to the specs I have on the Rhino Rack SXB style crossbars, they are 3-1/2 inches wide. The Sportz bars are 3-1/8 inches wide.
So at the least, you should have 1/8 of an inch clearance. It will be a tight fit, but the box should fit. I recommend measuring the crossbars yourself just to be on the safe side.
