Recommended Suspension Support for 2013 Ford F150 4x4 with Heavy Gooseneck Trailer
Question:
I need to beef up the suspension on my 2013 Ford F150 4x4 since Im towing a gooseneck trailer toward the top end of the weight limit for my truck. Can you give me a suggestion on what I need?

For your 2013 Ford F-150 4x4, the best option for your suspension enhancement is air springs. I recommend the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs - Rear Axle # AL57200 which will give you the adjustability for the best ride with or without your trailer. If you want the adjustability at the push of a button, I recommend the Air Lift Load Controller II Compressor System for Air Helper Springs - Single Path # AL25592. Without the compressor and gauge, you can still use the air springs, you just need to use the manual inflation valves that come with the kit and have access to compressed air before connecting your trailer for that additional support. The huge benefit to air springs like these are the adjustability to give you your desired ride.
If you want a maintenance free option, I recommend the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SSR-117-47. These springs are made of microcellular urethane to adjust for more support as more weight is applied. So as your gooseneck trailer adds weight to your truck, these springs will compress proportionately to provide shock absorption and load leveling support to your truck between the axle and frame. They are a great option that need no adjustment.
