Brake Controller and 7-Way Recommendation for 2016 Ford Explorer  

Question:

I do not have the factory toe package on my Explorer. I took the knee plate off under the steering column and found that I do indeed have the gray plug that a controller should plug into with this adapter. Since the plug us present am I to assume I will have power back to a seven way when i hook it up?

What you'd need to install a brake controller and 7-way on your 2016 Ford Explorer is the 7-Way kit part # 118272 which will give you a fully functional 7-way, the install harness part # 3035-P that you referenced and a brake controller like our very popular P3 part # 90195.
