Does Each Light Need to be Grounded When Wiring Trailer Lights
Question:
submersible lights does each light need to be grounded with a four wire harness? If so do i just ground the white wire from the light?

Expert Reply:
Yes, all of the lights in the # TL16RK Waterproof, Over 80 inch Trailer Light Kit will need to be grounded. The white wires on the tail lights are attached to the trailer frame, and the chrome bases provide the ground to the trailer frame through the mounting hardware for the side marker lights.
You will also need to attach the white wire from the trailer side 4-Way connector to the trailer frame to complete the installation.
We have the a video detailing installation of the LED light kit, # TLL16RK, which is very similar to the kit you referred to.
