Recommended Yakima Holdup 4 Bike Rack Compatibile with Road Bikes

Im looking at this rack as a way to transport my road bikes. The details mentioning that this was designed for wider tires. How well does this do for road bikes or should I look at a different option?

The Yakima HoldUp 4 Bike Carrier # Y02443-2 is a great bike rack for road bikes. It has the ability to hold tires up to 2-1/2 inches wide, but that does not mean the narrow road bike tires will be an issue. I've attached some customer photos and have attached a couple videos of road bikes installed on this rack.

This is a very versatile bike rack I highly recommend with the ability to carry heavy bikes like electric bikes as well as extremely lightweight carbon fiber bike frames. The rack comes with the integrated cable locks to secure your bikes and the hitch lock to secure the rack to your vehicle.

It has the tilting function to allow you access to your cargo area with the bikes installed, and folds up close to your vehicle when empty. It can transition from a 4 bike rack to a 2 bike rack for your needs and is solid steel for durability and powder coated for rust resistance. Let me know if you have any further questions.
