Recommended Brake Controller with Factory Appearance for 2008 Dodge Ram

Question:

I was wondering if you folks have done any installs of integrated brake controllers on dodge rams for those without. I would like to get one set up for my 08 dodge and I loath those eye sore old fashioned ones that look like crap and always manage to hit on my legs.

I have a great solution for you, however we do not have any OEM/integrated brake controllers available like what would have been installed at the factory on your 2008 Dodge Ram.

With that being said, I highly recommend taking a look at the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller # RED44FR. This system features a control knob that can be installed on your dash or console to allow for an extremely clean, factory look that is also easy on the knees. This is what you will use to actually control or adjust the braking power for the brakes on your trailer while the main unit installs out of sight. It is a proportional controller that will activate the trailer brakes at the same time and with the same intensity that you apply to them in your Ram.

If your truck is equipped with the factory 7-Way, you will just need the Tekonsha Custom Wiring Adapter # 3020-S. You will simply connect the 4 wires of the harness to the brake controller, then plug the other end directly to the built-in port beneath the Ram's dash.

I have attached a short video demonstration on this system so you can see exactly how it installs and operates.
