Recommendation For Weight Distribution System That Works With Gen Y Torsion Hitch On 2001 GMC Sierra
Question:
I'm wanting to buy the Gen Y torsion hitch. Can you recommend a weight distribution and anti sway bars that will work with that thank you.

Great choice for a heavy-duty hitch! I checked with Gen-Y and they recommend using their Gen-Y Torsion Shank for Weight Distribution hitches # 325-GH-1202 or the Torsion 2 ball Mount # 325-GH-1225
Next, you will need to find the best weight distribution system that works with your towing setup when it is fully loaded and ready to tow. This fully loaded weight will also include all cargo behind the rear axle of your 2001 GMC Sierra. I have attached a help article on determining tongue weight for you to check out.
Going with an Equal-i-zer weight distribution hitch like the # EQ37100ET is a great choice, but you will need to choose a hitch that your tongue weight falls in the middle of the capacity range.
I have attached some articles and a video to assist you.
