Does Hollywood Racks Express Trunk Rack # HRE2 Fit 2006 Kia Sportage

Question:

Do you have a guarantee? I have a 2006 Kia Sportage. I also have aSaris Bones 3 Bike Carrier - Adjustable Arms - Trunk Mount - Grey. I believe its Item # SA801BL. I did not buy it from you. The hooks on the straps are too big to slide into the appropriate slots. I have also tried the Schwinn and a Yakima. All hooks are too big. I have seen you advertise a Holloywood bike rack as Confirmed to Fit. Frankly, after you indicating your Saris as confirmed to fit. I am skeptical of this designation. And your credibility, more so, since I have never dealt with you. My take is that the 2006 Kia Sportage has a an unusual too narrowinch design in the upper slot of the back door where the hooks should be ed. Thank you.

Sometimes when it comes to slipping the hook of a trunk rack over the edge of a rear door or hatch you have to open the rear door slightly to allow the hook to slip past.

That said Hollywood Racks is typically the most cautious with thier fits and the first to list something as "not a fit" if it's difficult at all. We've seen other manufacturers list fits for their trunk racks and then Hollywood Racks will err on the side of caution if there is any issue at all so when they list something as a fit we are confident it'll work well. So the Hollywood Racks Express part # HRE3 would fit your 2006 Kia Sportage and work well.

If you plan on carrying any womens or alternative framed bikes without horizontal top tubes you may also be interested in purchasing a Kuat Bike Frame Adapter Bar # UB01 to provide a horizontal top tube on your bikes to provide an attachment point. I attached a review video for this product also. This will allow the bikes to be carried more level and will provide more ground clearance.
