Recommended Sidewinder and 5th Wheel Hitch Combination for 2016 Ford F350 & Grand Design Solitude
Question:
Just bought a 2018 Grand Design Solitude 310GK that is 101inch wide and am looking for a good setup for towing. I dont know if I want to use a manual slider but was looking at maybe using a sidewinder. I know there are also auto sliders out there but moving those in and out of the truck could be a problem because of their weight. Thanks for any help 2016 ford F350 CC short bed towing

For your 2018 Grand Solitude 310GK and your 2016 Ford F-350 short bed, I recommend the Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP50026-58 which are a perfect fit for your truck. Then I recommend the Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Dual Jaw - 16K # RP30047 which only weighs 97 lbs.
Finally you will use the 5th Airborne Premium 5th Wheel Air Ride King Pin w/ Sidewinder and Turret - 16,000 lbs # RP61422 for a cushioned ride with turning clearance or the Sidewinder 5th Wheel King Pin with Rotating Turret - 16,000 lbs # RP34FR for your replacement pin box. I recommend using the custom wedge # SWW-03 for the best ride.
Finally, you may consider wiring harness # 50-97-410 for easy connection access and a clean look.
