Recommended 2-Bike Rack for Use While Towing with a 2014 Chevrolet Traverse

I have a 2014 chevy transverse. Can you recommend a bike rake that would fit on the suv and also allow us to tow a camper. Would be carrying 2 bikes. Thanks

Aside from using some roof mount bike racks on your 2014 Chevrolet Traverse the most popular bike rack that we have for a towing application is the Swagman Traveler XCS # S64664.

This is a platform mount bike rack that installs on a ball mount for a 2" trailer hitch. The platform style with ratcheting arms for securing the bikes allows you to carry a wide variety of bike frame styles that don't have a drastic step-through frame. It has a 70 lb weight capacity (35 lbs per bike) which will translate to Tongue Weight (TW) so you need to make sure that your Traverse can accommodate the 36 lbs of the bike rack plus your bike and the TW of your trailer.

The Traveler XCS doesn't come with locks but you can add padlocks # 141T to the ratcheting arms to deter theft of your bikes.
