Technically the memory for the CIPA Replacement Side Mirror # CM47559 is stored on your 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Since the mirror is electric though it will work with the memory on your Jeep. I confirmed this with my contact at CIPA.

This is a direct replacement for your passenger OEM mirror. It plugs into the existing wiring connectors and bolts on using the existing mounting holes and hardware. If you need a replacement for the driver side then you need part # KS60042C.
