Compatibility of Ford Expedition Wheels on Trailer Hubs

Question:

I am looking to outfit a utility trailer I have to accept the same wheels that my Ford Expedition uses. They have 6 x 135 bolt patterns. Do you have a idler trailer hub that would accept these wheels? Or do you make an axle hub set that would accept these wheels?

There are not any trailer hubs we carry from any of our manufacturers that will fit that 6 x 135 bolt pattern. The issue with using vehicle tires on a trailer is that the wheels will have an offset and the tires will also be made differently than what you want on a trailer. Trailer tires have a thicker sidewall as they don't utilize the side to side movement of passenger tires and the wheels typically have a zero offset. The different bolt pattern on trailer wheels often will help mitigate this issue but some people will pull a vehicle axle to make the wheels fit on a custom trailer.

If you choose to go with a traditional trailer hub and wheel/tire, I'd be happy to assist but will also need some help on the actual bearings of your axle or spindle dimensions. Attached are some articles to assist.
