Replacement 5.70-8 Load Range C Tires for a Pop Up Camper
Question:
We are looking to replace the tires on our 1993 Coleman Fleetwood Sedona pop up camper. The tire size for my camper is 5.70 X 8 load range B . Id like to go up to a load range C, and radial ply. I havent been able to find radials in that size, but we are planning to tow the camper 2,900 miles this summer - most of it highway driving - and wed like a dependable tire. Any suggestions?

You're correct we don't have any radial tires for 8 inch rims. The smallest I've ever seen for trailer tires is 12 inch. It's true that radials are better for highway use because they they flex more and run cooler than bias tires do. However, bias tires have been used on trailers for years, on and off road, so there isn't any reason to be concerned. If a radial option is available, and priced roughly the same as a bias I say go with the radial. But when radials aren't an option bias tires are a dependable alternate.
The 5.70-8 size tires we carry that are load range C are part # AM10012. They have a maximum weight capacity of 910 pounds at 75 psi.
