Why Would Sidewinder Wedge Prevent Fifth Wheel Hitch from Connecting to Pin Box

I bought the sidewinder rp34fr. The wedge that came with it wont fit my Lippert model lipp1621 hd. the end bolt wont let it come back far enough to let the hitch close. What do I need?

The Sidewinder part # RP34FR that you referenced is the correct replacement for a Lippert 1621HD pin box like you mentioned. That said the wedges for this are not used to fit the Sidewinder to the trailer so I think there might be some confusion on that or the terminology used.
What fifth wheel hitch do you have? A lot of times a custom wedge specific for the hitch is needed like the # SWW-06 which fits B and W Patriot Hitch # BWRVK3255.
