Easy To Install 5th Wheel Rail Kit for a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Question:

I am trying to install the rails that i purchased from you and having trouble getting the washers and nut on the bolts closest to the cab? i have already installed the rear rail without to much of a problem.

The B&W Custom Installation Kit part # BWRVK2506 is an inboard rail kit meaning the connection points for the nuts/bolts that attach the frame brackets to the base rails are on the inside of the frame rail. This means that installation will be more troublesome than an outboard kit like the Reese Quick-Install Custom Outboard Installation Kit part # RP56001-53 in which the connection points for the nuts/bolts that attach the frame brackets to the base rials are on the outside of the frame rail.

Unfortunately, the only advice I can offer you would be to make sure all of the bolts/nuts are only finger tight so you can adjust the brackets freely until they are all in place and ready to be torqued down. The correct tools will also make a big difference in regards to ease of installation. If you do not feel comfortable installing the kit then I highly recommend you take the truck to a qualified auto mechanic.
