How to Tow Both a 5th Wheel and Gooseneck Trailer with a 2018 GMC Sierra 3500 Long Bed

I have researched you web site and I think the hitch I need is C16069. My concern, does this hitch fit the factory puck system on GMC 3500 long bed better than the curt goose neck ball kit? I traded trucks and had a BandW goose neck system. I am not used to all the rattle with empty trailer. Not used the ball having that much play. Truck is 2018 DRW 3500.

In order to tow a 5th wheel trailer with your 2018 GMC Sierra 3500 long bed you are going to want to use the Curt Q25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # C16069. In order to tow a gooseneck trailer with your 2018 GMC Sierra 3500 long bed you are going to want to use the Curt Ball and Safety Chain Loop Kit part # C60692. Both of these options are a confirmed fit for your truck so long as you have the factory rail kit/puck system.

I am not really sure what you mean by if one of them will fit better than the other as they install in different locations and serve different purposes. Neither of them should really make any noise while sitting in the bed but I do recommend removing the hitch ball while not in use to both preserve the ball and prevent theft. The gooseneck ball kit comes with a handy storage case that you can keep in your truck so you do not misplace any of the components.
