Tip for Getting Nutsert of DeeZee Tailgate Assist # DZ43301 to Tighten
Question:
I have been having issues with the nutsertvon my DeeZee EZ DOWN tailgate assist unit. I have replaced 2 nutsert because they will NOT stay tight. Have they come up with a better nutsert or do you know of a better one? It is for a 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab.

We've had a few customers come back and say that the trick to getting the nutserts of the DeeZee Tailgate Assist part # DZ43301 to stay tight is to tighten them more than the instructed 9 turns.
"Just remember to start counting 9 turns once you feel the nutsert itself tightening in the whole on ur tailgate."
