Installing an aftermarket filter like an AFE Air Filter will allow more air to flow to the engine and has less restriction than the factory air box on your 2007 Honda Accord. With this, you may see better fuel mileage and get a few more miles per gallon.

Typically with an air intake or an aftermarket filter more gains will be seen in torque rather than horsepower. There may be a minimal gain in horsepower of maybe 1 to 2 horsepower but nothing significant. There may also be an increase in throttle response as air is flowing into the engine more freely. Amount of horsepower and torque gains can vary and depends on what else is modified on the car.

Since you just replaced the air box with a clamp on filter and are still using the factory intake tube, you should be fine in a hot weather region like the UAE. If you would have replaced the OEM plastic tubing with an aluminum tube, there would be an increase in the air temperature flowing to the motor as the aluminum would absorb the hot engine temps.

If you have a V6 model Accord, adding an exhaust system would be my next recommendation since you have more air flowing to the engine. If you have the 3.0 V6 Coupe we have the MagnaFlow Exhaust System, part # MF16686. For the 3.0 V6 Sedan, we have the MagnaFlow Exhaust System, part # MF16685.

I have linked an FAQ on exhaust systems.
