Will the Longview Slide-On Towing Mirrors # CTM2300B Scratch the Existing Mirrors on 2011 F150
Question:
I have a 2011 Ford F 150 SuperCrew. The mirrors look like the ones pictured, but the top half of the mirror is painted. Will this fit my truck without scratching the paint?

Expert Reply:
My contacts at Longview assure me that their slide-on mirrors will not scratch the backs of your factory mirrors. I was also told that painted or not, if your existing mirror looks like the photo on the product page, the CTM2300B should work great for you.
If you look closely at the photo of the mirror on the product page on our website, you can see a round pad on the inside of the portion of the towing mirror that slides over the existing mirror. This pad will provide some cushion, and prevent scratching.
