Cargo Carrier Solution for Dodge Journey Towing Tent Trailer
Question:
I am trying to find a product to use so that I can tow my tent trailer and have my hitch cargo holder at the same time. The vehicle is a 2012 Dodge Journey with a 2inch receiver. The hitch cargo holder is about 30 inches from the front to back and I am towing a 1993 Coleman tent trailer. I think I need a dual hitch receiver but will need an extender for the trailer.

I think your best option would be the # CC-255 actually. This attaches to the frame of your tent trailer up near the coupler to give you a tray for mounting cargo. Using hitch extenders and dual hitch adapters can work for some people but we find that they aren't ideal as they cut the capacity of the hitch they are installed in by 50 percent.
I attached a review video for this product for you to check out below as well.
