Roof Cargo Basket Recommendation to Fit Crossbar Spread of 23 inches

Question:

Installed the rack basket on a ROLA rack but could not spread the bar more than 23 and had to use one of the unstable bar to make it fit. Will this affect the load carrying capacity and road worthiness?

Yakima won't safely endorse the way you have the Megawarrior part # Y07080 installed. They made the basket to fit bars between 30 and 38 inches so if you go smaller than that it won't be a safely tested configuration.

The best option we have for a cargo basket that fits the smaller crossbar spread you have would be the Rhino Rack roof basket part # RMCB which fits crossbar spreads of 21 to 30 inches.
