Will Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera # HM50002 Fit an Aftermarket Trailer Connector
Question:
Can the Hopkins Smart Hitch connect to an aftermarket receiver? Is there an adapter?

As far as using an alternate monitor you would most likely have to splice in a different connector to mate with the device you want to use. There isn't an adapter available.
Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera # HM50002 can either be plugged in line with a 7-Way (factory or aftermarket) that has a US car connector style 7-Way (I have included a picture of the male and female ends of what a US car connector looks like) or it can be hardwired in. There are instructions for either way. I have also linked videos showing example installations both ways.
