Can Demco 5th Wheel Base Rails Adapter for B&W Turnoverball Fit Other Gooseneck Hitches

Question:

Does this adaptor DM 6140 is design mainly for BandW goose neck set up, or it will fit other goose neck set up as long it is removable goose neck hitch ball with square shank ?? Also i was looking into the Curt 16310 X5 goose neck adaptor, be experience can you advice which one is better as far as qualilty and durability, i got yhe option to use then on a 2007 dodge 2500 and a 2012 chevy 2500, both truck got BandW goose neck removable hitch ball with the square shank. Thanks you respond qnd help is greater appreciated.

The Demco base rails adapter, part # DM6140, is designed specifically for the B&W Turnoverball goosneck hitch. I can't say whether it works with any other hitch or not.

With that being said the B&W is the only gooseneck hitch I know of that has a square hole for the ball to fit into.

When compared to the Curt X5 adapter, part # 16310, I generally lean towards the Demco because the Curt sometimes interferes with sliding fifth wheel hitches. But if you're not using a slider it can go either way.
