Can I Modify My Sidewinder With A Different Bolt Pattern By Drilling Holes To Match Turret Holes
Question:
If I have a sidewinder with the wrong bolt pattern can the pin box be drilled to match the turret holes? Turret is 7’ c/c pinbox is 9.5”, Fabex 500.

It is not a good idea to modify your pin box to match turret holes. This can compromise the integrity and stability of your pin box and in general is not a safe course of action. The best thing to do is switch out your Sidewinder with one that fits and where the bolt holes line up. A Sidewinder that fits your situation and I recommend to replace your Fabex 500 is the Reese Sidewinder, Item # RP61412. Your other option is to replace the turret with # RP61300-01 and keep the Sidewinder arm you currently have.
