Will Lippert Center Point System Reduce Sway and Body Roll on a Trailer

Question:

1. Will this airbag system help with sway from crosswinds or 18 wheelers buzzing past at 90 Mph? 2. If I have two holes on the hanger but am using the lower hole can I use the higher hanger to not increase the height two inches. 3. I have trailer shocks will those no longer be needed. 4. I purchased the Timbren SuspensionEnhancement System SES Hollow Rubber Springs for 7000 pound axles. Due to my trailer shocks they will not work so I will return them next week. 5. I ordered the Dexter Rubber Equalizer for 5 5/8 spacing. I have 35 inch spaced axles not 33 inch. One shackle flipped during installation but with out weight. 6. I am thinking or returning both the Dexter Rubber Equalizer and Timbren SES and go with the air bags, 7. I have already upgraded to 6000 Dexter axles with Performance Braking Titan Disc Brake Kit. I purchased new 16 aluminum wheels and ST 235/75/16 Taskmaster tires from you. 8. My rig is 6 inches higher due to 3 inch axle, 16 inch wheels, taller tires. I also replaced 3 leaf light duty leaf springs with 4 leaf heavy duty leaf springs. Also had perches on top of axles. 9. Just want some good advice here please. 10. So do I have perches welded under the axle which will lower my rig but use the hanger at the bottom which would then raise my rig?

Lippert Components Center Point # LC1565391 will help some with the sway/body roll caused by cross winds or large vehicles passing by. It won't eliminate it completely.

Provided the system can still function like normal in the higher position on your frame then you can install it there. This may or may not require changing the other hangers to shorter ones.

You can still use the shocks as long as they will fit with this system installed. I would hang on to the Timbren springs until after you install the Center Point kit in case the shocks you have cannot be reinstalled.

The longer axle spacing and not having weight on it would be why the Dexter system you had didn't work so well. The 2 inch difference between your axle spacing and the intended axle spacing is a little too much to safely use that particular Dexter system.

The Center Point system would replace the equalizers so if you go with it you would not need the Dexter system anyway but things can get iffy from a returns standpoint if they have been installed.

The fact that your trailer is now 6 inches higher has a lot to do with the sway and body roll problem you are trying to correct. The center of gravity has gone up which makes the trailer more susceptible to sway. You can potentially lower it by using over under kit # K71-385-00 (one kit needed per axle) as long as the leaf spring stacks are currently on top of the new axles. If they are already below the axles then you wouldn't use this kit. The only way to lower it then would be to use shorter suspension hangers.
