Parts Needed to Install Trailer Brake Controller on 2006 Lexus LX 470
Question:
following up a little more on the Lexus lx 470 question. Are the wires back to the 7 pin connector already there, and the wiring to the battery and fuses already done just got this car. Sounds like all I need is the controller and one harnes, Correct?

If your 2006 Lexus LX 470 is equipped with the factory 7-Way connector at the rear of the vehicle, all of the necessary wires are already run to the connector for it to be fully functional and allow for an easy installation of a trailer brake controller. All of the necessary fuses should also be present.
For the brake controller, I highly recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195. This is an excellent, proportional controller that will activate the trailer brakes at the same time and with the same intensity that you apply to them in your Lexus. It features an easy-to-read LCD display, storable settings, and continuous diagnostics that will alert you to any potential issues.
Then, to install the controller in your vehicle, you will just need the Plug-In Adapter # 3040-P. One end of the adapter will plug into the brake controller itself, while the other end will connect to the built-in port beneath the dash in your Lexus. Once this single connection is made, you are good to go!
I have attached the written instructions manual for the Prodigy P3 that you can also take a look at.
