Replacement Bearings Needed for a 2007 Silver Fox 26' Trailer
Question:
Hi, I just bought a 2007 26 foot Silver Fox enclosed race car hauler trailer with tandem 6K 6 lug axles. I want to clean and repack the bearings and would like to get some parts before I start. One hub was very loose as the sheet metal washer with the bendable tab had bent and allowed the nut to back off. At a minimum, I need a couple of those washers and new inner seals before I start. Would you send me a parts list of the spindle and all associated part numbers? Also, I bought two metal pop out vents to install in the wall of this trailer. Does one end need to be installed on a vertical frame tube, or can the hole be cut and entire vent installed in sheet metal? Thanks,

I do have a way for me to recommend the correct bearings (and seal if needed) for the axles on your 2007 Silver Fox 26' trailer, but unfortunately we don't have a a list of part numbers that were used on your trailer.
The most common 6K hubs use either Bearing Kit # BK3-110, which has Inner Bearing # 25580, Outer Bearing # 15123, and Grease Seal # GS-2125DL, or the Bearing Kit # BK3-100 which uses the same Inner and Outer Bearings, but uses the Grease Seal 10-36 instead. This seal can be found in pairs as part # RG06-070 on our site.
Both grease seal options have the same 3.376" Outer Diameter (OD) but the Inner Diameter (ID) is different. The ID for part # GS-2125DL is 2.125" while the ID for the 10-36 Seal is 2.250".
Pull your hub and check your inner and outer bearings to ensure that they use the same bearings as I mentioned. There should be part numbers stamped in them. If there are no numbers stamped in them you simply need to measure your spindle at the B, C, and D locations (see attached picture) to the 3rd decimal place.
The section C should measure 1.750", D should measure 1.250". You can then determine which bearing kit to get depending on what your grease seal measurement is.
