Recommended Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System for Harbor Freight Trailer

Question:

What is the normal position of the Timbren axle with respect to the bottom of the frame? Is it at 1-1/2inch or 2-1/2? The current axle on the Tagalong is 6-3/4inch from the bottom of the frame, and it has the 8inch wheels. I want to put the Timbren on there and use your 12inch tire / wheel combo for a higher speed rating. It seems like I would have to modify the frame somewhat to get the clearance I need under the fender. Maybe there is another Timbren axle with this low weight rating but a greater on the axle? Suggestions?

As you can see in the attached dimensional drawing of the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System part # A4RS440, the distance from the center of the spindle to the bottom of the trailer frame is 2-1/2". If you required a greater distance between the center of the spindle to the bottom of the trailer frame, you would need to go to the next size system which is part # A12RS440 that has 2-5/8" of clearance.

Both of the above spindles come with hubs that have a 4 on 4 bolt pattern. For a 12" diameter wheel that will fit this pattern, I recommend the Taskmaster 4.80-12 Bias Trailer Tire with 12" White Spoke Wheel part # TA89RR which has a load range C (990 lbs per tire) and speed rating M (81 mph). The trailer fender should work with both 8" or 12" diameter tires but still may need to be adjusted for proper clearance.

I have attached a review video of both the wheel/tire and axle-less system for you as well.
