Recommended Traction Device for a 2017 Subaru Forester with 225/60-17 Tires
Question:
I need chains/cables for my 2017 Subaru Forester 2.51 Premium/HFF. My tire size above is not on your list for #PW1042. Also the Glacier Rubber Adjusters for Class S Snow Chains on 12inch to 16inch Rims - 1 Pair Item # PW100 are not for 17. What do I need? Yokohama Geolander691 P225/60R17 98H

According to the owner's manual for your 2017 Subaru Forester, tire chains cannot be used because of the lack of clearance between the tires and vehicle body. However, other types of traction devices like snow sock can be used so long as they are class S compliant.
For the 225/60-17 tires on your Forester, I recommend using the ISSE Hybrid Snow Socks part # TCH70. The snow socks will be an excellent option for you that will provide traction on both snowy and icy roads. They are very easy to install and are also class S compliant. I have attached a review/install video of them for you as well.
Should you choose to use tire chains/cables anyway, the correct ones for your part # PW1038. The correct rubber adjusters for these chain are part # PW105.
