Recommendation For Towing A 2004 Jeep Wrangler TJ Manual Transmission

Question:

Can I tow my Jeep behind my motor home with the Jeep Key in ACC Position? I recently installed an Auxiliary Braking System, which requires 12V power. So I need the 12V Outlet powered up while traveling. The normal towing instructions is to put the key in the OFF position to unlock the steering wheel. However, in the off position the 12V power outlet isn't operational. The ACC activates the outlet and seems to release the Steering Wheel Lock. Is there any danger in the Steering Wheel locking afterwards?

I recommend following the instructions in your owner's manual to ensure that you are safely flat towing your 2004 Jeep Wrangler. One option to consider is running a 12v power wire directly from the battery via the 12 Volt Outlet Kit, Item # RM-9332, to your braking system. I also recommend using the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit, Item # RM-156-25, to maintain charge of your Jeep's battery while being towed.

I have attached videos for you to check out.
