Are Frame Brackets Needed to Install Base Rails on 2012 Ram 1500

Do i need frame brakets to mount or can i sudtute something else.like warsher on Reece 30031 ram 2012 qud cab

It sounds like you are needing to install base rails on your Ram 1500 so that you can mount your existing Reese 30031 Fifth Wheel Hitch. I definitely recommended using frame brackets and hardware like what is included with the Reese Quick-Install Installation Kit # RP50142-58. This is going to provide a secure connection to the truck's frame for the base rails. Using washers or another method to attach the base rails will simply not be secure enough and can certainly lead to damage to the truck over time.

I have attached a short video demonstration on this base rail kit, along with the written installation instructions that you can use for reference.

If you already have a set of base rails, please let me know the manufacturer and model and I will be happy to recommend just the correct frame brackets that will work.
