Will the 49570 fit on a 2014 Toyota Tacoma? If it fits, does it need to be installed professionally?

Weight distribution/sway control setups such as the Pro Series # 49570 with # 83660 will fit any hitch of the appropriate size, 2-inches in this case, so long as that hitch is rated for use with a WD/SC system. The safety sticker on the hitch will indicate if it is so rated.

What matters most when choosing a system is matching it to the actual loaded tongue weight (TW) of the trailer. WD/SC systems are rated based on loaded trailer tongue weight. This is the sum of the fully-loaded trailer's actual measured TW (measure with scale # e99044) plus the weight of any cargo in the truck that sits behind the rear axle, such as a generator or big loaded cooler. The ideal situation is that your total TW will be in the middle of the system's operating range.

Pro Series # PS49582 works for trailer TW from 550- to 750-lbs so if your total TW was around 600-lbs this would be an excellent choice for an entry-level set-up.

The best sway control comes from systems like the Fastway # FA92-00-0800 which has integrated sway control, not just a simple friction bar. This system allows you to back up the trailer which cannot be done with friction bars; they must first be disconnected.

The linked video and article may be helpful. Systems like this do not really require professional installation.
