How long of a shank on the ball would i need for ball mount #36078

There isn't a specific length ball shank required for ball mount # 36078. It just has to be long enough to have 3 threads or more exposed beyond the nut when tight. If you need a 2 inch ball # C40018 is a popular option. For a 1-7/8 inch ball # C40001 is a popular option.
