Parts Needed to Install Draw Tite Brake Controller in 2016 Ford F-150

Question:

lm installing the drawtite 1 command controller in a 2016 f150. there is a note in the instructions about the connection between the red brake wire and truck. its says to avoid red with green stripes wire and use light green one. is this only for the model years 98 to 05? or does this still apply ?which color wire should I use for my year?

If your 2016 Ford F-150 has a factory 7-way at the rear of it like most of the trucks do all you'd need to install the Draw Tite brake controller is the part # 22292. This plugs right into the port under the dash of your truck.

If instead you have a 4-way at the rear of the truck you'd still use the 22292 but then also the # 37185 to convert the 4-way to a 7-way. The blue wire of the adapter would then run to the wiring that's on the truck frame like in the picture I attached.
