Troubleshooting Trailer Wiring Converter Box that Doesn't have Brake Signal
Question:
I have a tow vehicle behind a 2003 tiffin allegro bus and no brake lights at the motorhome plug-in or tow vehicle. Could it be the wiring converter or diodes?

If you are trying to diagnose your converter box that you sent in a picture of test to see if the wire labeled "brake" on the car side has voltage when the brakes are applied. If the circuit has voltage there but not on the output side then the converter is shorted out. For a similar converter we have the part # RM-732.
Trailer wiring is typically designed to have the stop and turn signals on the same circuit. If you need to separate that out so that you have a dedicated brake signal you'd want the # 118158 which you'd need to wire to your trailer wiring circuits and you'd be set.
