Weight Distribution of Hitch-Mounted Scooter

Question:

As a follow up question since we have now bought a Yamaha 125 scooter, would it be advisable to put the scooter on the carrier in a slightly forward position to try to equalize or balance the weight distribution? Thanks for your help. Doug L

Yes, if the combination of scooter wheel base and the carrier's platform allow it you can shift the position of the scooter so that its weight is more evenly distributed on either side of the hitch tube. But I would still use the support straps # EM34415 since they will not only take up some of the weight load but also help keep the carrier and scooter steady in the hitch.
