Frame Bracket Recommendation for Using Curt Weight Distribution System with V-Nose Trailer
Question:
I brought a curt weight distribution kit older onecant recall the part number but its similar to Curt 17002 or same. Planning on towing my 2017 Harley Road Gilde with a 2012 Chev Suburban Z71 package within Anvil 6X10 trailer. Since my trailer is a v nose space is really limited to attached the chains. I installed the sway control on the frame of the trailer. Will that be enough to tow without swag in the rear and swaying side to side. The bike weight is about 1000 Trailer has Leaf Spring Idler Axle 3500 lb rated 2990 10foot Shank Anvil. Model: 6x10. Length: 10.00. Width: 6.00. Height: 72.00. Weight: 1380.00 lbs. GVWR: 2990.00 lbs. Payload Capacity: 1610 lbs. Axle Capacity: 3500.00 lbs. I guess my question is will I need the weight distribution bars or can I pull it safety with the sway control attachment harbor freight setup.

Since you have a Curt weight distribution system and a V-nose trailer what you'd need to install the system is a set of bolt on brackets part # C17005.
Whether or not you'll be able to get by with just the sway control portion of your setup is hard to say. But since you already have the system may as well use it with the brackets.
