Recommended Switch for Wiring New LED Light Strips Inside Cargo Trailer
Question:
I am adding 4 LED light strips to the inside roof of my cargo trailer. The strips will be going to a 150watt LED Driver with two outputs. Each output has two wires. I will wire 2 light strips per output in parallel using a reducing crimp to bring down the 4 18gauge wires into two 18 gauge wires. I want to put a switch between the wires coming from the strips to the driver output 1 switch for each set of 2 strips. I want to surface mount this switching to a piece of 5/8 plywood. What do you recommend for the switch and the method of surface mounting

We do have a nice selection of switches that may work well to control the new LED light strips inside your cargo trailer. You will just need to make sure you choose a switch that is rated properly for the draw of your lights. Since LED lights aren't going to draw much power at all, going with a 10 amp switch like the Pollak Light-Duty Toggle Switch # PK34513 should be enough, but you will want to check to make sure.
This is a really nice toggle switch that includes mounting hardware and the 6 inch wire leads. Mounting it to a piece of 5/8 inch plywood like you mentioned would be just fine.
I have attached a link that will take you directly to our available selection switches that you can also look through.
