Wheel Mount Roof Bike Rack for a 2013 Ford Explorer with Factory Roof Rack
Question:
Will this rack be good for use with my stock cross bars on my 2013 ford explorer? Can I put multiple bikes on the roof top? Does Yakima make a similar version of this and is either company a better quality rack than the other?

I checked with Thule and they only list fork mount bike racks as a fit for the factory roof rack on your 2013 Ford Explorer so that would exclude the UpRide # TH599000.
Yakima does have a similar rack called the HighRoad # Y02114. Both Thule and Yakima make quality racks so I would not necessarily say one is better than the other for roof bike racks.
You will likely be able to get two of these on the roof but you may have to have one of the bikes and rack face backwards. Also check the roof rack itself or the owner's manual for the roof rack weight capacity prior to loading.
