Front Hitch Compatibility with MOVE Aftermarket Bumper on 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500HD
Question:
I am trying to locate a front hitch for my 2004 Chev 2500 HD extended cab 8foot bed with 6 liter engine. It does not have an OEM bumper, but has been replaced with a MOVE bumper. I have photos also, for reference. Thank you.

Aftermarket manufacturers like the folks at Curt and Draw-Tite who make front-mount hitches for trucks like your 2004 Chevy 2500HD 6-liter long bed do not test their products with other aftermarket products. This is simply because it could take them years to do so and because most owners will have the stock OEM bumper.
The best suggestion I can make is to review the installation instructions for the available front-mount hitches and compare their installation points to your truck. That ought to allow you to tell if these front hitches can still install with your specific aftermarket bumper.
It is possible that the bumper maker MOVE may have some experience with this question since a front hitch is a fairly popular addition to a working truck. You would need to know their specific bumper part number when you contact them.
If you would like to submit to us photos showing the bumper and where it mounts we may be able to determine compatibility with a front hitch installation.
