Replacement Head for Husky Weight Distribution System
Question:
I purchased the Husky 30849 weight distribution system and would like to get a second head to mount on my second vehicle being my two trucks have different heights. I like that this one comes with the ball and all mounting hardware, but will it work with all the components of the 30849 system? and if not do you offer the same kind of setup for that system? And if it will work, are all the weight specs the same? thanks

Expert Reply:
While some components of a weight distribution system can typically be interchangeable between manufacturers, such as the adjustable shank, replacing the system's head with one of a different brand is not recommended. This is because the head is tested along with its spring bars, and changing out these parts can affect the system's overall rating and performance.
Because of this, I do not recommend using the Replacement Pro Series Weight Distribution Head # PS58442 on your Husky system, as it has simply not been tested and is not confirmed to work.
I instead recommend sticking with the Husky Replacement Head # HT31516, which is confirmed to work with your existing Husky 30849 Weight Distribution System. This head unit does not include any mounting hardware, but you can add it with # EQ90-02-9100.
