RockyMounts SplitRail 4 Bike Carrier Compatibility with 2018 Subaru Forester with Draw-Tite Hitch

Question:

Help me double check my measurements. Will I have room to install item RockyMounts SplitRail 4 Bike Rack with the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer hitch receiver 75876 on a 2018 Subaru Forester? I believe the RockyMount video said 6.5 inches of clearance from the bumper versus 4.5 inches for the hitch.

On your 2018 Subaru Forester, the Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver # 75876 will be about 5 inches from the center of the hitch pin to the outer most part of the bumper. The RockyMounts SplitRail 4 Bike Platform Rack # RKY11404-4 will measure 6-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pin to the closest part of the rack when folded up for storage, which is adequate clearance. When folded down for carrying bikes, the closest part of the carrier is 10-1/2 inches, so you won't have any issues there either.

The SplitRail 4 is an excellent choice for carrying 4 bikes. I've attached a video to further assist. This carrier has all of the integrated locks to secure your bikes and make carrying your 4 bikes easy. It also has a nice wall mount storage hook for the carrier when not being used.
