Which Adapters Work with the Bulldog Stubby Front Bumper Part # BDW21000 for a 2005 Jeep TJ

Hi: I see reviews and or questions regarding this bumper. Is it rated for wheels down towing? Is there a tow bar that would work without buying the expensive adapters such as those for Blue Ox? Im looking for a setup to tow my 05 Jeep Wrangler TJ.

Yes, the Bulldog Stubby Front Bumper part # BDW21000 for your 2005 Jeep TJ is rated for flat-towing. Unfortunately, there is no way around using an adapter as none of the towbars will come off the shelf ready to couple to this bumper. You will need to use an adapter like part # BX88357 for Blue Ox tow bars or part # RM-035 for Roadmaster tow bars.

For a Blue Ox tow bar I recommend using the Blue Ox Alpha Tow Bar part # BX7380 which has a 6,500 lb weight capacity and comes with safety cables. For a Roadmaster tow bar I recommend using the Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar part # RM-525 which has a 6,000 lb weight capacity but doesn't come with safety cables. With this in mind the Roadmaster tow bar and adapter will be the more cost effective option for you.

If you need any other parts to complete you flat towing setup please let me know what those are and I would be happy to recommend them.
